DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Sift together flour, ginger powder, cinnamon, baking soda, cloves, nutmeg and salt in a large bowl.
Whip butter by hand or in a mixer until smooth; add in brown sugar, followed by molasses, yolk and vanilla. Add in flour mixture and blend well. Wrap dough in wax paper and chill for 2 hours.
Roll out dough on floured surface; cut out shapes with cookie cutter of your choice and dust with raw sugar. Cover cookie sheets with parchment paper, place cookies on paper and bake in oven for 10-12 minutes.
